I thought about my health and it was easy, but I often long for a smoke on a cold winter morning. I think I first started taking a puff at 14 and finally quit at the age of 53 I think. Doing good, but those vending machines are everywhere.

Keep up the good work.
I gave up a couple of year back now. I did really enjoy smoking though I knew I had to give it up, mainly for health reasons!

I gave up 12yrs ago at the age of 50, 
after a lifetime of chain smoking and have never looked back,
I didn't get where I am today,

Just as you think about your grades, think about your health. If you want it, you just got to do it. Don't mean to sound like your Sunday morning preacher, but... that is what got me to stop.

It certainly can be tough to give up but I think often it is actually easier than people expect as long as they have made up their minds to give up.

My health is important. I had tumors growing on my face/jaw/temple. They stopped growing and were non cancerous. I quite at that time. I guess 5 years ago. That was enough to scare me straight. But I did like to smoke.

Congrats on stopping smoking
I have to tumors removed from my skin, both none cancerous, but the cigs have kept a hold of me.
However they cost me my job on health grounds.

I quit smoking just before Alun did, and i found it easy. How? I just realised one day i no longer enjoyed smoking, and just quit. I am a great believer in if you don't enjoy doing something you stop doing it.

It is not easy to quit smoking but if you really want to quit smoking you can do it. nothing is possible..

i watched one of my wifes ' guit smoking ' videos by mistake ( thought is was porn ♪o♪)
there were two main things that stuck in my mind from it
1 you are a non smoker till your next fag
2 never scratch the itch
i have never smoked one since ( 15 years )...never ( ever ) scratched the itch
be a twat ...get as fat as a pig.....these can be sorted when you've kicked the habit...no prob
( unless you're a miserable ba***rd and a fat **** to start with )
having said that.. if you are you'll have no side effects ( jammy fu****ers )
