Topic: Recording sound

As some of you may know I have started to record some music with me pal.

We are both playing the same cords and change at the same time, yet his strumming appears to much clearer then mine.

Yet his recording pattern is much more defined then mine.

I can play the cords well and hit all the right strings, (most of the time). default/wink

It isn't gear as we both are using my peavey vypyr him on a fender twin model and me on a vox. It can't be guitar, I am using Sally Ann, me Gibson SG, he is using a 79 Fender Telecaster.

Any Ideas.

What do you mean by recording pattern?

Are you both recording the same parts layered over one another?

I think there is something wrong with some of your tools in recording.. that is why your friend's recording is clearer.
