Re: Good Alternative Tunings

I have been using double drop D tuning (DADGBD) for learning A Song For George by Eric Johnson.

It is the first time I have really experimented with altered tunings and you can get some interesting results!

Re: Good Alternative Tunings

I've been playing around with some stuff in drop D - mainly because a couple of Rammstein tracks use that.

Another used drop C - but I decided that was a lot of hassle as I needed to retune every string  so had a play and left that one...

Although if I found more in drop C, i'd probably leave one guitar in that (i normally have the ESP in drop D and the schecter in open, but as the schecter doesn't have a floyd rose changing from open to drop D is no biggie  default/smile )
